Amy is a queer, non-binary, Ukrainian-Canadian writer, producer, and actor, and is the co-founder and owner of Interwoven Films. Their work is primarily female and LGBTQ++ focused and they seek to elevate marginalized voices and narratives that often have environmental and social conversations at the heart. As an award-winning actor, Amy’s films have been screened at SITGES, TIFF, and the Vancouver Film Festival. They were recently nominated for their performance in both Tin Can (CutoffTail Productions) and 8:37 Rebirth (Stone Cold Productions). As a Producer, Amy’s short film Jerky, won the CBC Pitch Competition at FIN in 2018 and was screened and won awards internationally. In 2018 Amy was awarded a Telefilm Talent to Watch grant for their digital series, I Hear You, a modern, feminist, medical drama which they wrote, produced, and performed in. Amy recently wrapped production on the workplace comedy series King and Pawn for Bell Fibe TV1 which has garnered 17 nominations and 4 wins already at festivals. Amy was selected in 2021 as one of ten emerging Canadian television producers for the RDV Canada: Meet the Series program and they have are a 2022 graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Producers Lab. Amy wrapped production on their first short Documentary I See You in March of 2022 which explores the relationship between femme/non-binary artists and sexual health. They start filming as the writer and director of a new dark comedy digital series, Good Grief, for Bell/OUTtv in Spring 2023. They are currently in development as a writer on Bluebirds, an adaptation of Governor-General Award- Winning Playwright, Vern Thessin’s stage-play Vimy and a thriller/drama Goddess both of which were recently short listed in the Screencraft Pilot competition. Amy has studied screenwriting under some of the leading film and television talent including Michael Melski (The Child Remains), Cynthia Knight (Mohawk Girls), and John Yorke (East Enders).

Katerina Bakolias is a queer, Greek-Canadian, award-winning actor, playwright, and screenwriter. Katerina has participated in The Writers Edge Screenwriting Retreat hosted by WIFT and guided by Cynthia Knight (Mohawk Girls), as well as the FIN Script Development Program where she completed the second draft of her feature film Salvage under the guidance of Michael Melski (The Child Remains). Her first short film, Roomies, premiered in the 2020 FIN Film Festival and is now being broadcast on CBC Gem in the Reel East Coast Shorts Season Six. She has several television series, as well as her first feature film, currently in development and slated to go to camera in 2022. Katerina has worked as a story consultant on several short films, features, and new plays. Her play, Til Death Do Us Part, a slapstick comedy about a wedding gone wrong, will premiere at Nova Scotia’s largest regional theatre, Neptune Theatre, in the Spring of 2022. Katerina is the recipient of the Best Actor Award at the 2017 Atlantic Fringe Festival for her performance as Callie in Stop Kiss and most recently was honoured with the Chrysalis Emerging Artist Award.

With an early focus on branded short films and commercial content, projects written by Rebecca have been highlighted in such online publications as AdWeek, Variety, Elle Magazine, The Huffington Post and Marie Claire Magazine. Her first professional writing credit was penning the dialogue for the branded film 40 Love, as part of Cornetto’s international Cupidity campaign; the film, which starred UK pop star Lily Allen, received critical acclaim and has been viewed over 3 million times on YouTube. Her follow-up project was cowriting Wanderlust, a 5 minute branded short film produced by Lipton Iced Tea and set in Thailand. In 2016 Rebecca was hired to write the prequel for Ron Howard’s MARS series for the National Geographic channel, a 30 minute short film entitled Before MARS, produced by Variable in New York City. She has written commercials and voiceovers for clients such as Medieval Times, Pepsico, Toys R' Us and Twistos Crackers, as well as several independent films including the short film Bite, which received a Spotlight Award at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival in 2014. A creative thinker with an unrelenting curiosity for life and human connection, Rebecca’s writing is often whimsical, emotionally charged, and subtly humorous.
